The eventful possibilities of Prynt

Polaroid left a big hole in the world of event marketing when they discontinued their trademark analog instant film products in 2008. Companies moved towards using new technologies and digital photo marketing. However, there was still a demand for an instant photo system that could be a physical take away from events. There were some products that were similar but did not include the branding that was essential for our companies.

Fast forward to January 2015, Prynt launched their Kickstarter campaign and changes the game. Reaching their goal in just 33 minutes and an overall total of $1,576,011 with their new concept on a nostalgic favorite. What is Prynt? Here is everything you need to know:

  • Prynt is the first instant print droid & apple phone case.
  • You simply plug your phone into the case, snap a picture and print your photo in 30 seconds.
  • Photos are printed on 2 x 3 in Zink ® Zero-Ink® paper that carries the color within itself. It is smudge-proof, water-resistant, tear-resistant photos or peel-and-stick photo paper.
  • No Bluetooth or WiFi is needed because you plug the case into the phone.
  • The case also has its own power source, so you do not use your phone’s battery when printing.
  • You can add a filter, borders and other design effects to photos through the Prynt app.
  • Augment reality: You are able to record a 5-10 second video onto the photo. Open the Prynt app and hold it over the photo to see your video on screen.

  • Cases come in white, black, pink and blue.
  • The product is open for pre-order now with a release date of November 2015.
  • The cost of the product is currently on sale for $129. However, MSRP is $149.
  • Technical specs:

Prynt’s instant print phone case opens a door to new possibilities for the experiential marketing. There are possibilities such as branded film, pre-recorded branded messaging for the photos, and tablet compatibility. With the right development, Prynt can be just what a company needs for their events! We will have to wait for the initial release of the product and the fixing of any bugs but this product will be well worth the wait.
